Families and Relationships
Relationships are an integral part of what makes us human. The ability to love, connect and share experiences with those around us is a gift and through these relationships, we grow as we learn about ourselves and how to better relate with one another. Without relationships we can feel lonely, isolated and disconnected, though it is also possible to experience these feelings even when we are in relationships with others. The key is to understand how those close to us support and empower us and learn to recognise how, why and where disconnection and miscommunication can occur and what impact that can have on the relationship itself.

Using a combination of various coaching techniques, I support families and couples to navigate challenges at home, strengthen relationships with each other and understand what gets in the way of their ability to connect and thrive together. Together we work on building a foundation for living that aligns with their values, allows them to communicate more effectively, brings about a continual level of enjoyment and satisfaction, and which supports them in performing at their best in all that they do.

Working with Couples
Whether you are newly dating or have been together a long time, there can often be a lot of pressure and tension in being in a relationship with another person. Given we are not always taught specifically how to effectively co-exist with an intimate partner, many of us are left trying to figure out what to do by ourselves, turning to popular culture for information, or looking to our personal family experience and/or our friends for advice and guidance on what we should be doing.

Relationship mastery takes time, and the first place to begin is in knowing yourself fully. That way you can become aware of what being in a relationship really means to you, what expectations you have for yourself and your partner, how you wish to grow together and manage conflicts, and how to communicate empathetically and non-judgmentally so that you can be truly heard and understood. My approach is to support couples in assessing their relationships, learn what gets in the way of their ability to flourish and provide them with common language that they can use to help each other understand what they need, want or are experiencing in that moment.  I also coach them towards a higher level of awareness so that they can begin recognising their automatic and habitual reactions and reach a point where they can choose to respond in a way that creates the outcome that both partners want.

Working with Parents
Raising children, managing households and maintaining strong and healthy relationship with all family members can often leave parents feeling overwhelmed, lonely, stressed and frustrated, especially if they are also working full-time, struggling financially, and/or are single parenting.

While there are many guides, websites and books available to support parents, many still feel powerless and ill-equipped in handling all that comes their way, even going as far as questioning their capability as a parent. This low self-belief and lack of self-confidence can lead to breakdown in communication, relationship disconnection and a feeling of being at the mercy of their emotions, as well as of those around them. Parents might also experience more arguments with their children, be unsure how to connect more meaningfully with them or unsure how to properly support them socially and academically. I support parents through individual or couples' coaching, or via workshops that focus on helping them become more conscious parents. Depending on the requirement of the family, I can also work with the family as a whole. My goal is to empower parents to strengthen existing relationships and build a joyous, supportive and loving home atmosphere.
Working with Young People
Navigating school, academics, friendships and family dynamics, while simultaneously experiencing a host of hormonal, neural and bodily changes can be tumultuous and demanding for even the most secure of children. While many young people can manage experiences such as these, there are others who struggle to cope, letting fear, stress and anxiety rule their lives. As a result, their academics, and personal relationships suffer.
I empower young people to build self-efficacy so that they can fully use their potential, work to change their situation and excel in all aspects of their life. I also provide them with an open, empathetic and nonjudgmental space that allows them to feel heard, understood and connected. This in turn, helps them confidently articulate and better communicate what they are going through and begin taking steps toward the life they want for themselves. The process I use works because it addresses the root cause of any challenge that is being presented. I offer 1:1 coaching sessions at a client's home or in nature - being outside allows young people to reconnect with themselves and share more freely. I also offer wellbeing sessions for up to 4x friends who need a space to talk and who want to work together to achieve better self-care routines.
